About Us

Originally founded in New Britain, Connecticut in 1960 as Precision Grinding, we bring decades of combined experience, and we approach each job with care, skill, and pride.

What sets us apart is the craftsmanship of our people. We invest in our workforce, equipment, and processes so we can deliver consistent value, build long-term relationships, and push the boundaries of what precision manufacturing can achieve.

We believe that the work we do should make a positive and meaningful impact on the world.

Industries Served

Industrial Machinery

Whether manufacturing components for OEMs or restoring worn or damaged spindles for critical repairs, our team brings unmatched experience and attention to detail. We’ve built a reputation on our ability to:

  • Grind shafts, housings, and bearing journals to extremely tight tolerances

  • Restore critical geometries during spindle repairs to OEM specifications or better

  • Ensure concentricity, roundness, and surface finish for high-speed rotation

Aerospace & Gas Turbines

We bring deep expertise to one of the most demanding sectors in manufacturing: aerospace. Our specialized grinding capabilities of aerospace components are trusted by OEMs and repair facilities. We’ve developed proven processes to:

  • Grind bearing journals and splines to micron tolerances

  • Restore worn or damaged components to OEM or MRO specifications

  • Handle superalloys, high-temperature alloys used in gas turbine applications

  • Grind chrome plated or plasma sprayed components for high wear resistant capabilities

Our Capabilities

Flexible Envelope Range

Our equipment can support:

  • OD Grinding: 0.5” to 7” outer diameters and up to 80” length

  • ID Grinding: 0.5” to 20” inner diameters with varying bore lengths

  • Surface Grinding: up to 12” x 36”

Tight Tolerances Across All Sizes

We often grind to:

  • Within ±0.0001” dimensional tolerances, roundness, and concentricity

  • Better than 8 Ra surface finish

Built for Versatility

Our team and decades of experience allows us to support:

  • Repair and rework of worn or damaged components

  • Prototype and production volumes
